Pita Chip – Temple University

OUR PROCESS

Located on Temple University's campus, this grassroots Mediterranean restaurant needed to speak an honest “no-frills” language that reflected the fresh, comfort food served by the street vendors of the Mediterranean and Middle East. Banquets made of steel beams and 200 year old chestnut, tables formed from stainless steel and plywood and rough cut paneling are among the many elements that accomplish this colloquial attitude. A 15’-0” tall mural depicting the streetscape of Philadelphia's past acts as a link between the cultural landscape of the east and the west.
